Thanksgiving is over here. We celebrated early due to work conflicts. The house was full of kids and a dog and family and friends. The turkey was beautiful and tasty. There was much to feast on and much left over. The fire burned in the hearth and there was laughter and joy. This is good.

On meditation--J, aka meditation. In the noise of our lives we drown out the presence of God. Quiet allows us to realize that He is there, as He always is. We just let the material world shout down our perceptions of Him.
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice to him, and said, What do you here, Elijah?
1 Kings 19:11-13
Jerimiads have their place, but the still, small voice is God speaking to you personally.
